June 28, 2008
7:30 PM - 12:00 PM

RSVP REQUIRED- This is a Womens Only Event. Only those on the guestlist will be given the location and admitted to the event!!
Go to LoveTribe.org, click the calendar and RSVP ASAP !

DOORS: Open at 7:30pm. You must arrive no later than 8:30pm, doors close then. Come early to meet new people and enjoy the luscious ambiance!

LOCATION: Announced to guests the week before the party

SUGGESTED DONATION: $15-$20 and finger food snackluck item encouraged (no one turned away for lack of funds or food -- give what you can and join us anyway!) This is a women only event.

A SNUGGLE; WHAT'S THAT??? The Nurturing SNUGGLE... For those of us who don't get enough cuddling in our life, this is an opportunity to bask in warm, nurturing physical affection and playfulness. This is a non-sexual (i.e. NO SEX) but sensual gathering focused on lounging in a comfortable environment where we can open our hearts and exchange hugs, kisses, caresses, massages, friendly tickles and more without the presence or pressure of sexual jokes, come-ons or play. In our gatherings, we recognizing all acts of love and affection as gifts, and we honor each other as sacred beings united at a spiritual level. We come together with a shared intention to create a safe space to share warmth, affection and other light sensual playfulness. So come, relax, and be smothered in genuine affection.

WHY A SNUGGLE... Because we need human contact! It is easy to feel alienated from physical contact in our culture. Often, any affection beyond friendly hugs seems to threaten us with questions about the nature and direction of the relationship with the person with whom we are sharing affection. We rarely sit around simply holding our friends, gently caressing each other, or engaging in kissing that does not have stronger sexual contact as its goal. Many of us can benefit from cuddling without any other goal but nurturing human contact. And so we are creating a space where that is the stated intention up front.

WHAT TO LOOK FORWARD TO... While every Snuggle will be slightly different, here are some things that are planned: we will start the evening with a snackluck (like a potluck but with finger food), spending time getting to know each other as we share food, followed by a short ritual or other introductory ceremony where we will lay down snuggle guidelines for communicating and respecting personal boundaries. We will do some exercises or games where we practice communicating and listening to boundaries. During most of the evening, there will be opportunities to engage in massage circles, playful games or "puppy piles". Asking and gaining consent will be an important part of all our interactions. Feel free to initiate activities, participate in what feels comfortable, or just see how others engage in play.

WHAT TO WEAR/BRING... Wear loose, comfortable clothing (such as pajamas or sweats) and bring any items that seem appropriate (for instance, if you enjoy having your hair brushed, be sure to bring a brush). Please keep both a top and bottom on during the entire Snuggle. Bring a donation (though, no one will be turned away for lack of funds). Please bring finger food to share for the snackluck. Leave the grit and stress from daily life behind; perhaps take a relaxing bath beforehand and DO NOT WEAR perfumes, scented aftershave, deodorants or hair products, etc. (Some people are allergic to perfumes and scented products). Come prepared to be present and bring a positive attitude about bodies and touch. Remember, when you attend a Snuggle, you are leaving the dominant culture behind and entering a magical space where it is okay to touch our friends and people we have just met with affection and warmth.

Send this event to a friend! This event can be found online at http://events.LoveTribe.org
We've so far had two productive planning meetings, and this weekend we'll probably be inventory-ing the bus and tossing about more ideas for what ST will look like this year. We'll come up with a list of what we have and what we need. Maybe you have something we need. Maybe we have something you need.

We intend to be a presence at SOAK. so even if you're not going to Burning Man, there's still opportunity for you to get involved. We'd be especially grateful to people with generator/power equipment, people with DJ skills and equipment, past campers, people who know something about mechanical things (particularly old diesel school busses), and people with creative energy for fundraising, and decorations and fluff.
Greetings to all my relations.

This is the last step of our project History Watch. If History is
defined and known by the texts, we can now add to this definition the
recorded events of the filmed archives. Animated images are harder to
deny than printed words. Our objective is to spread out freely some of
the little broadcast, even hidden informations about our collective
History.

We put online a collection of 391 documentaries and other selected and
recut videos, to offer to a wide public the best of the infos
available on the net in english and in french. If you are interested,
you have the time, the right equipment and connection, all you have to
do is open the joint document and decompress it if needed (but normaly
your system should do it automaticaly). You'll find therein nine links
that will open the torrents for the nine DVDs we compiled (around 4.6
Gig each, for a total of a little over 41 G, being over 100 hours of
videos).

Torrents are a system of peer to peer data transfer. The more people
download a torrent, the faster it spreads and the longer it stays on
the net. If you don't have a bittorrent software, we suggest that you
download uTorrent on utorrent.com. If you want to participate in
facilitating the diffusion of these infos about our collective
History, download these torrents on as many computers as possible,
whether it is in cybercafes. It takes one or two minutes to open up
the links and the downloading will keep proceeding on its own.

Please spread this out, take part in this action for social education
on a planetary scale. Thanks.

Like a nice long hug, I suppose. Does anyone know of any upcoming snuggle or cuddle parties in PDX?

Long, long ago, there was an honest and kind-hearted fellow named Niu Lang (Cowhand). His parents died when he was a child. Later he was driven out of his home by his sister-in-law. So he lived by himself herding cattle and farming. One day, a fairy from heaven Zhi Nu (Weaver Maid) fell in love with him and came down secretly to earth and married him. The cowhand farmed in the field and the Weaver Maid wove at home. They lived a happy life and gave birth to a boy and a girl. Unfortunately, the God of Heaven soon found out the fact and ordered the Queen Mother of the Western Heavens to bring the Weaver Maid back.

With the help of celestial cattle, the Cowhand flew to heaven with his son and daughter. At the time when he was about to catch up with his wife, the Queen Mother took off one of her gold hairpins and made a stroke. One billowy river appeared in front of the Cowhand. The Cowhand and Weaver Maid were separated on the two banks forever and could only feel their tears. Their loyalty to love touched magpies, so tens of thousands of magpies came to build a bridge for the Cowhand and Weaver Maid to meet each other. The Queen Mother was eventually moved and allowed them to meet each year on the 7th of the 7th lunar month. Hence their meeting date has been called "Qi Xi" (Double Seventh).
I wanted to let you know that this year the Spiral Rhythms Festival Theme is LOVE. To that end, we have a whole bunch of workshops dedicated to the theme of Love, including one from our own Angel & Jas...(hi guys!)

Also, if that were not enticing enough, every year on Friday evening of the festival, Rev. Jordon Feathers and I do a Temple Opening Puja Ritual. If you've ever seen us do one of these in town, you've seen the 'cooled down' version of the rite...:-). At Spiral Rhythms, we have the freedom to remove all the boundaries that we must keep in town--including energetic ones.
5/12/07, Sat, 4:00-10:30 pm

Do you sense a deeper force operating in your life - a force that knows what you long for and what you're really capable of? Through exploring tarot imagery, story-telling, journaling, ritual, & walking a labyrinth, you can discover aspects of your Soul Force - the stories that propel you to be authentically powerful.

You can playfully and simply tell stories and create your own rituals to look more deeply at your passions/joys, wounds/fears, and the allies & keys that help you invoke parts of your soul’s story. In this workshop we’ll create a quiet, sacred space, and from within that place we’ll ask “Why am I here?” And then we will listen, and keep on listening. We don’t need burning bushes or perfect answers, just what’s true for now.

From my blog...

I am an admitted snuggleslut and have been for years. I have had periods where I get snuggles on a weekly basis at least once a week and I can say it's been a great benefit for me during times of being single. When in a relationship it's been a determining factor on the health of that relationship.

I have a friend who distinguishes between cuddles and snuggling. Cuddles are the non-sensual variety, like one cuddles a kitten or their child. Snuggles can get into the realm of being more sensual. In our friendship that was a good tool for managing the uncomfortable realm of erotic overtones as she and I had been sexual in the past and at that moment she was healing past childhood sexual abuse and not able to be sexual with me.

In my time of dating people i've noticed an alarming amount of sexual abuse and woundedness which indicates the epidemic proportions that we have in our society.
I read it all the time in the news and it makes me want to do something. My own sister was victimized at a festival while getting a massage treatment and the justice system she is dealing with is almost worse than the actual incident that spawned the process. I think sex education should account for the amount of abuse that's in the world and show both male and female people entering their sexuality that this is real and needs to be approached by all in a conscious way. Perhaps then there'd be fewer rape victims, more ability for women to talk about their need to be safe from abusers.

Back to cuddles and snuggling..it has been shown that warm touch produces the pituitary hormone or "bonding hormone" in the body called oxytocin which is said to among many things aid in reducing stress levels in both sexes.

www.nih.gov/nihrecord/026/story03.htm

Seems obvious when you think about it, how you feel after recieving even a handshake or a hug let alone a good nuzzle and cuddle. I've discovered over time that some people are more capable cuddlers/snugglers than others. I suppose this has to do with comfort levels and trust etc. Here are 5 suggestions to end off with that can assist people based on my experience and research in the art of cuddling.

1. When cuddling with a friend or someone new where it hasn't been established whether the connection is going to be sexual or not it's good to never make assumptions. If a person has boundaries they feel on any level its important to
make them known. One way is how one dresses for bed. Getting naked, even if that's how you normally sleep, is not appropriate if you're with someone who might think they're getting sex that night. Wearing unsexy jammies or the like is a subtle message that its about sleeping not about getting it on.

2. If you're wanting to be more sensual with snuggling but not necessarily dive into full on sex, that will need even more levels of communication. Talking openly should become a skill that you carry and feel confident with eventually.
Taking control of the hands that roam and placing them where you are comfortable or using the traffic light idea of "red/orange/green" light allows one to explore the sensual with a degree of control. Hovering in the "orange' light for instance could be very exciting without compromising your need to avoid going further for whatever reason held.

3. I have a friend who had a roomie she snuggled with who she didn't want to get too emotionally entangled with but enjoyed the contact. Roomies are a tricky situation to be sure. Some roomies go on to enter relationships and even get married i've witnessed but that's not always the way it's going to roll. To be able to deal with the intense sexual energy raised they had a tactic that involved going to separate rooms when it reached a certain point and releasing the tension on their own before resuming snuggling. Seems to have worked for them, i have yet to experience this method. A variation on this for the erotically inclined is to experiment with non penetration methods of being sexual but it should be noted that sex no matter what form it takes tends to bring up the bonding tendency and can lead to emotional feelings that will need to be sorted. For the ethical slut this might be easier than for those not so experienced in pleasure sharing for its own sake and should never be foisted upon someone just because its easier for one person than the other to manage this ability.

4. Past lovers or partners can make great snuggle friends. May not be a great idea during a break up. In fact most of the time i'd say that's the case. Later on though when things even out it can be very rewarding to feel safe with another whom you've crossed a distance with and established safety with. Much safer than someone new where all this needs to be laid out from scratch. Still, there is the need for communication always as feelings arise, or the desire to have or not have sex arises. It is one reason however to keep the bridges entact between you and past partners..they make great snuggle buddies later on in life especially when you're both single.

5. I think as an important part of making contact with people is how we separate off afterwards. When we bond with each other, that oxytocin does it's thing, it's easy to start taking parts of each others energy away with us into the next day. This gets more metaphysical perhaps, dealing in aura's and such, but i hold it as true for me. It is good to consciously reign in ones aura when departing from another, whether it be friend or lover. We need to consider our aura as personal ecology that needs to be maintained. Merging with others is a special thing, sacred, and can be done without unconsciously dragging it all completely into our personal folder of being. We can be two whole beings connecting in moments and then separating. To me this is a recipe for emotional health and steering away from co-dependency. This applies to a simple cuddle where deep bonding has occured. It keeps the energy clean between two people and says we care about ourselves and each other. I often like to do this with those I cuddle or snuggle with or make love with as a closing ritual of sorts.
They often thank me for it afterwards.

A Meal Blessing
Saturday, the 3rd of March, 2007

Mr. S, recently wrote:

“Everyday so many beings are dying or died.
Everyday so many are left behind.
A tornado stuck in Alabama.
People are dying in wars, of illnesses, starvation, and the like.

If you could take some time each day
and say a prayer or dedicate the merit of your practice
to those who dies and those who are left behind,
it would be a good thing to do.”

Dear Mr. S,

I was taught
that every meal or drink of water
is a great opportunity to both
generate and share good karma.

I do so

#1
Thank you La-ma Chen-re-zig
for your presence in my life.
Thank you for pacifying my karmic negativities
increasing my virtuous merit

guiding me directly and indirectly
and lavishing me with the blessings
of your body, speech and mind;
Om Ma-ni Pad-me Hum!

#2
I partake of this delicious food {water}
as an offering
to La-ma Chen-re-zig
who emanates

in his pea-sized aspect
of bliss-inducing light
upon this Throat-center;
Om Ma-ni Pad-me Hum!

#3
May ALL who have perished
over the last Forty-nine days
especially all who have perished
in the provision of this meal

or at my hand
now take immediate and auspicious Po-ta-la rebirth
without any other rebirths intervening.
And once there quickly accomplish full enlightenment

so they can better aid and liberate all others;
Om Ma-ni Pad-me Hum!

#4
By this virtue may I quickly attain
the enlightened state of La-ma Chen-re-zig
and then lead every living being
without exception to that state.

#5
May everyone be healthy, wealthy and happy,
may everyone practice skillfully and joyfully,
may everyone accomplish Chen-re-zig in THIS life
and then help many others do likewise;

for truly that is the meaning of life;
Om Ma-ni Pad-me Hum!

Mr. S,
Most of us eat three meals every day,
and drink a little water every hour,
so this three minuet practice could very well be performed 12-16 times every day.
I certainly hope this helps you to be of greater service to others.

Think of it as a contra dance, Latino style. I find it a great way to frolic, flirt, touch, eye gaze, play, and move to Latin rhythms. I just relocated here from Ashland and miss my Casino Rueda lessons dearly.
Connecting through poetry, music, candlelight, & healing touch
Saturday, 2/3/07, 7:00-10:30 pm

We invite men to rekindle your light by sharing your favorite poetry (Mary Oliver, Rumi, Dr. Seuss, e.e.cummings, Hafiz, etc.), your favorite music, and your favorite healing touch in MEN’S HEARTSPACE. Event will be done by candlelight in a beautiful NW studio.

Candlemas, Brigitte, Imbolc -- these are just some of the names for the ancient mid-winter ritual of light, music, & poetry. Music, poetry, & healing touch are powerful bridges that help us open our hearts & realize our commonalities -- the things we all long for: inspiration, hope, emotional aliveness, a sense of community & purpose.

Many men have been cut off from sharing these arts because our culture has labeled them “feminine,” and therefore made them taboo for men, thus cutting men off from the healing power of sharing music, poetry, & healing touch. Men can reclaim the power of these arts by sharing them with one another – thus re-granting permission for these to be regular parts of men’s lives.

We'll keep our clothes on and our hearts open. Our intention is to heal, nurture, rest, and connect to & from our hearts. We’ll remember the ancient power of music, poetry, candlelight, and healing touch.

DIVERSITY: We seek to cultivate curiosity, compassion, and playfulness between men who seem very different from one another (and who actually long for very similar things). We welcome adult men of all ages, sizes, shapes, colors, orientations, & backgrounds (including trans guys). Thanks for helping us increase the diversity of men who get invited to this event by forwarding this invitation to friends & colleagues who might be interested.

CO-FACILITATORS: Alex Babani, a music therapist and musician; Alejandro Cantu, a longtime teacher of multicultural students and bon vivant; and.Michael Abram, a performance artist, clown, and clearing for the full expression of life.

CO-SPONSORS: MenSpirit, a joint project of three non-profit organizations, Q-LAND, LoveTribe, & Spirit Hawk, empowers diverse men in the Portland, OR area to discover and manifest their individual & collective potential for wellness, community, friendship/intimacy, spirituality, & play.
These techniques will be presented in an interactive way, so you'll have the chance to both give & receive healing touch & stretches throughout the workshop. After experimenting with various techniques, you'll receive significant time on the techniques that seem to work best for you. You can learn more about the McKenzie Method and Ted's training & experience at www.backinactionpt.com
Ferociously Happy Heart
Monday, the 27th of November, 2006

Embrace the Ferociously Happy Heart.
Open wide the chest,
open wide it’s cage!
Free the Ferociously Happy Heart.

Stand with legs wide,
stand with a Warrior’s strength,
stand with a Mountain’s solidity.

There is NO puzzle of why…
just the wonder of what,
just the magick of Now!

Ultimately, the cloying slave driver of analysis
can NOT be grasped!

Take to the skies and fly
with the Ferociously Happy Heart!

Do NOT compress
the Ferociously Happy Heart.

Do NOT seek to contrive
the Ferociously Happy Heart.

It is the reality
lurking behind the dream.
It is the reality
dancing being the dream.

It is our true nature!

Come, let us increase our capacity for Joy!
Come, let us increase our capacity for Strength!
Come, let us increase our capacity for Peace!

Strength can scurry about the extremities,
or return to it’s home,
return to our heart.

Come, let us live from the Heart.
Come, let us live from our Center.
Come, let us live from the Now.

Our heart’s happy, solid, peaceful joy;
what is it?
It is the ultimate nature
of sorrow!

Yes, there are those
who throw spears;
spears that can fly
deep into our hearts.

Do NOT turn and run.
There is nothing to fear.
Stand firm your ground.
Open wide your heart.

Enlarge your world
with compassion’s Prayer…
“May all beings now benefit!;
Om Mani Padme Hum!”

Breath deep and explore,
“What are some of the ways
there could be NO separate or permanent
sadness to grasp?”

Relax deep into sorrow and ponder,
“How could this sadness
be just a fleeting dream?”

Do NOT fight the experience,
for that would just be Fear.
Courageously let go
into the fullness of THIS moment’s experience.

“Om Man Padme Hum,
Re-lax-ing.”

There is NO need
to violently “Pierce” the “veil of illusion,”
when all that is required
is to simply, let go.

It is folly
to chase after contemplative experience
like a silly child,
running to find the end of a rainbow!

Rather,
courageously,
stand your ground,
embrace the truth of THIS present moment.

No, NOT the idealized, ultra blissful “present moment”
of escapist fantasy;
but THIS authentic present moment,
be it gorgeous or grotesque.

Feel what you feel
and relax!

Yes, there are those
who rejoice to harm us.

But seen through the eyes
of enlightened courage
they can only
make us stronger.

This is NOT false strength
that comes from resisting;
this is true strength
that comes from surrender.

From Surrender
to a naked awareness of THIS present moment
and all it’s conventional Vulgarity…

from Surrender
to a naked awareness of THIS present moment
and all it’s ultimate Beauty!

An awareness
that is naked,
striped bare
and free from resistance…

free from avoidance,
free from retribution,
free from retreat,
free from deflection.

Breath deep
and embrace the ugliness of the nightmare
and you will relax
into the nature of the dream!

Breath deep
and embrace the ugliness of Hell
and you will relax
into the nature of Heaven.

Do NOT drop your head.
Do NOT cave your chest.
Do NOT seek
to protect your heart in vain.

Stand firm your ground.
Open wide your heart.
Let the foolish exhaust themselves
in their spear throwing.

Let their spears find their targets,
let the cutting edges do their damage.

There is nothing to fear,
there is nothing to hide from,
there is nothing to protect;
breath deep and relax!

Breath deep and relax
into the profound truth of deep insight;
breath deep and relax
into it’s vastly compassionate nature.

Compassion that is vast,
like two arms, infinitely stretched out
to hug the universe,
with a heart of strength.

The Ferocious Joy
of an Un-bound Heart.
The Ferocious Joy
of an Un-protected Heart.

The Ferocious Joy
of a vulnerable Heart.
The Ferocious Joy
of a naked Heart.

Oh how I want you
to have this!
Oh how I want you to soar with the joy
of a Ferociously Happy Heart!

Mr. R is one of the first members at E…
and he is online most every day if only for a short period.

Mr. R. moved towards the end of October
and has only been online twice since then
and not since November 2nd.

For those of you who don't know, Mr. R. is 84
and he and his wife are not in good health.
Recently they moved in with their daughter
in an attached apartment or section of the house.

I can't imagine Mr. R not getting online unless:

1. He is ill.
2. A death has occurred within the family.
3. Someone is limiting his ability to get online.

None of these scenarios is appealing and all could use some prayers.

Dear Mr.S,

I have just practiced on Mr. R's behalf.

When reciting mantras on the OUT-breath
I often find it helpful
to mentally and silently ask Contemplative questions
during the IN-breath.

After all, ya gotta breath-in some time…
otherwise, you’ll turn a funny color, tip over, and wiggle!

Having established the necessity of breathing in,
we might as well use those IN-breath’s
in the most spiritually constructive manner
that we can.

Perhaps you will enjoy these Contemplative Questions:

#1 "What are some of the ways
it could be in Mr. R's best interest
to now and evermore have internet access
whenever he wants, in the most wonderful way?"

Could you forward this to men who have lived interesting stories or who
understand the power of story-telling to help them draw on the wisdom of men of all ages?

MEN’S INTERGENERATIONAL STORY-TELLING
Saturday, 11/4, 4:00-10:30 pm

* Imagine being able to learn from the wisdom of men of all ages.

* Imagine who you could be if men of all ages helped you tell & understand your story, and you helped them tell their’s.

* Imagine story-telling as a tool for transformation & initiation.

For most of human history story-telling has been a crucial part of men’s initiation and empowerment. Nowadays story-telling has been mostly reduced to mere entertainment -- a mass-produced product to be consumed. This has cut men off from the wisdom of the lived past, present, and future – from actually knowing other men’s stories.

In this playful, creative event you’ll tell key parts of your life story to a small group of men of different ages, and they will retell your story in spoken word poetry, short skits, psycho-drama sculptures, paintings/drawings, and other creative techniques.

Our goal is for you to tell the story of your life to men of different ages, and for you to help retell the stories of other men – in ways that reflect you and the wisdom of the inter-generational group you’re apart of. Ultimately this is about friendship, play, creativity, and initiation through story-telling.

DIVERSITY: We welcome men of all ages, sizes, shapes, colors, orientations, story-telling abilities, and life backgrounds (including trans guys). Diversity on all levels helps us learn the many ways we can be men. Could you please help us invite diverse men by forwarding this invitation to any of your friends, colleagues, or acquaintances who might be interested, and by attending with them?

SPONSORED BY: MenSpirit, a joint project of two non-profit organizations, Q-LAND & LoveTribe, empowers diverse men in the Portland, OR area to discover and manifest their individual & collective potential for wellness, community, friendship/intimacy, spirituality, & play.
Finding Practical Intimacy Strategies
* Workshop: Sat, 9/9, 6:30-l0:30 pm
* On-going Group: lst & 3rd Thurs (begins 9/2l), 7-9 pm

Many men long for more emotionally and physically
intimate relationships, but --

* They’re too busy;
* They’ve been burned;
* They don’t know what they want;
* They’ve tried everything;
* They think they’re too old, shy, ugly, blah, blah . . .

Well love is worth it. Intimacy makes you happier and live longer & better. And you’re capable and desirable enough. You just need a little help figuring out what you want and what you can do – in the real world – to get it.

In this fun, practical workshop you’ll explore with other men:

•	What kinds of intimacies you want;
•	Your intimacy challenges;
•	Your intimacy strengths & skills;
•	Practical experiments to try in the work-shop & in your life for dating & intimacy
•	Asking for concrete support to help you implement what you’ve learned & sustain learning after the workshop

This workshop is not about experts telling us the answers. It is about us supporting one another to find the intimacy visions and strategies that work for each of us. And most of all it’s about figuring out what you can do differently in the real world to get more of the intimacy you want – and get the support to follow through.

If you can’t attend the workshop, you could check out our on-going Dating Lab Support Group that will meet on the lst & 3rd Thursdays each month, 7-9 pm, starting on 9/2l.

CO-FACILITATORS: Alejandro Cantu, 5l, has been a teacher of multi-cultural students for more than 20 years, was in a long-term relationship and is now returning to dating; Wayne Bund, 25, is a teacher of multi-cultural students, has been in several relationships, and has recently moved back to Portland as a single man; Bart Church, 46, has been in several primary relationships, but has viewed his close friendship network as his primary source of intimacy for most of his adult life & believes in valuing friendship networks.

Can disliking your body or its parts make you sick? What if the things you believe about your body help determine how healthy you are and will be?

What if billions of dollars were being spent to convince you your body is flawed? And what if this belief and many of the products you buy to “fix” your body are actually making you sick?

MEN'S BODY IMAGES: Can hating your body make you sick?
8/5, This Saturday, 6:30-10:30 pm

In this workshop you’ll look simply and compassionately at which parts of your body you like, and which you dislike. You’ll look at how you feel about your body and its parts, as well as what you tell yourself about your body and its parts.

You’ll use simple practices of small group brainstorming & repetition of new body images, touch, breathing, ritual, play, and awareness to enhance the flow of blood, energy & nutrients to parts of your body you like. You’ll also use these practices to soften and enliven parts of your body you dislike. You’ll physically experience the connection between your beliefs about your body and the amount of blood, immune fluid, energy, oxygen, and nutrients that reach parts of your body.

Your beliefs about your body can make you sick. And the reverse is true. Your beliefs about your body can heal you. It is quite powerful to experience this first hand in your body, rather than as just ideas. And it is exponentially more powerful to do this with the support and energy of a group.

Let us re-imagine our bodies as capable of being beautiful, sexy, powerful,
healthy, and creative. Let us accept our bodies as they are -- and learn quiet ways to use our body images to heal our bodies, rather than destroy them.
